Bergen's music, from the water

Two names travel further than any other from this city: Edvard Grieg, who wrote most of what the world hears as Norwegian music, and Kygo, who took Bergen to a different kind of stage. This safari follows the water that connects them - south out of the harbour, through Puddefjorden and into Nordåsvannet, the sheltered arm of the fjord that Grieg's Troldhaugen looks straight out over.

How the trip runs

We leave the city at speed, then throttle back where the water narrows. Nordåsvannet is calm, green and lined with boathouses and villas, and Troldhaugen - Grieg's home, with the little composer's hut at the water's edge - sits on the northern shore. Your skipper tells the story as we go, and there is time for photographs before the fast run home.
